Hi!
I’m Sticks, an Integrative counsellor and trainer. I love helping young people, families and folks in general who are feeling vulnerable and could use some support to navigate life’s ups and downs.
My approach is all about compassion and seeing the whole person, not just their challenges. My work focuses on strengths and resilience. I bring my social work values—like understanding people in their context, being culturally aware, and promoting social justice—into everything I do.
I’m down to earth, relaxed and do my best to create a space that’s safe and works for you – that could be on a comfy couch, at home on a virtual chat, or outside walking and talking.
As a trainer, I work with organisations and teams to design & facilitate training on diverse topics related to community services, working with clients, and effective people management.
I also support casework practitioners through coaching and professional supervision, creating a space where they can reflect, grow, and manage stress.
I am committed to my own reflective practice, clinical supervision and on-going professional training. I keep up to date with developments in evidence-based practice with trauma and anxiety, particularly in the areas of Domestic Violence, LGBTQ+ issues & support for young adults.
