About Me

Hi!

I’m Sticks, an Integrative counsellor, Social Worker and trainer. I am passionate about supporting young people, families and anyone feeling vulnerable or overwhelmed as they navigate life’s ups and downs.

As a NSW Victims Services counsellor, I work using trauma informed practice, with extensive experience supporting people who have lived through trauma, particularly LGBTQIA+ communities, women and young people. My approach is grounded in compassion, connection and seeing the whole person, not just the challenges they are facing. I focus on strengths and resilience, and I bring my social work values such as understanding people in their context, being culturally aware and promoting social justice into every part of my work.

I am down to earth and relaxed, and I do my best to create a space that feels safe and genuinely works for you, whether that is a comfy couch, a virtual chat from home or a walk and talk outdoors.

As a trainer, I work with organisations and teams to design and deliver training across a wide range of community services topics, from working effectively with clients to people leadership and team development.

I also provide coaching and professional supervision for casework practitioners, offering a supportive space to reflect, grow, build confidence and manage stress.

I am committed to my own reflective practice, clinical supervision and on-going professional training. I keep up to date with developments in evidence-based practice with trauma and anxiety, particularly in the areas of Domestic Violence, LGBTQIA+ issues & support for young adults.
